Men’s Jumper Guide for 2025

If you’re a man—especially a British man—and you don’t cherish your winter jumper collection as you would your own children, then what are you even doing? At this time of year, winter jumpers are man’s best friend, and so you’d better make sure your collection is topped-up and ready to go. This is your guide to which jumpers to include in your winter wardrobe rotation. We’re gonna have you looking better than that irritating little bowl-cut kid’s new dad in The Santa Clause when Tim Allen accidentally kills Saint Nick and becomes the big guy himself.

What are the best jumper brands?

Do you mean aside from Percival? Because, honestly and realistically, we’re the best jumper brand. Although, if it’s sweatshirts you’re after, Champion have been wearing that particular crown for quite some time. Luckily, we recognise greatness and locked in a sweatshirt and hoodie collab with the leisurewear goats.

What jumpers are in fashion for winter?

The classics will never go out of fashion—your cable knits, your fisherman’s jumpers etc. They’re safe bets. How about we walk you through five jumpers and sweaters that are putting the ‘in’ in ‘winter’ this season?

The 5 Best Jumpers & Sweaters for Winter

1. Raglan Crew Neck

Featuring the classic heavy-knit, ribbed texture, and timeless crewneck, the Raglan Crew Neck is available in three different colours that will get you through the bleak midwinter. This one has never been out of fashion, likely never will be, and is still in fashion today. A real essential of any man’s winter wardrobe.

2. Cable Knit Jumper

Your ideal layering piece for a cold weather fit. Our Cable Knit Jumpers are an 80/20 blend of high quality RWS wool and recycled nylon, giving them that little bit of stretch, they’re oversized, and they feature your classic heavy-gauge cable design, meaning they’re just as effective as an outer layer.

3. Exports Sweatshirt

Now for something a little different, the Export Sweatshirt. With a 90s-influenced slightly boxy fit making it perfect for everyday wear, and that lovely polo collar rounding off the look, this one is a guaranteed winner this year. Made with 100% organic cotton and available in ecru and navy.

4. Quarter Zip Sweatshirt

Quarter zips are flying right now, and our Quarter Zip Sweatshirts (part of the Percival x Prince collab) are the best money can buy. They’re classic in style but modern in design, made with 100% organic cotton, and ultra-versatile.

5. Chromatic Cardigan

Do you want to be comfortable, look intellectual without trying, come across as a man who knows himself and might quietly be brilliant at the guitar and at fighting? Get on the Chromatic Cardigan. Made of a carefully selected mohair/nylon/wool blend, it might be our favourite piece of the season.

Jumper Care Tips

If you’re going to invest in a nice jumper collection, you’d bloody well better know how to take care of it. Follow these handy tips for looking after your jumpers.

How to hand wash a jumper?

Pop your jumper in some tepid or even cold water with a small amount of wool-safe detergent. Give it a little swish around and let it soak for ten minutes or so. Avoid hot temperatures as this can cause shrinkage in knitwear, and avoid harsh chemicals and detergents as they can damage the quality of certain knitwear materials like wool and mohair.

How to dry a jumper?

Remove your jumper from the water, DO NOT wring it dry and DO NOT scrunch it. This can cause deformity to the shape of your jumper. Also avoid hanging your jumper up to dry as this can cause stretching. Simply lay your jumper flat on a dry towel and let it dry naturally. Job’s a good one.
